Vote in Saguache Photography Contest through Friday
When it comes to taking pictures in the San Luis Valley, your scenic choices are endless! From Saguache’s stately trees to the Great Sand Dunes, take your pick!
And that’s exactly what the photo committee is asking the local community to do in their annual Saguache Photo Contest.
Organized and overseen by local photographer, Sarah Fenandez, the entries are on display at the Methodist Church Fellowship Hall at 6th and Christy from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Voting is encouraged by everyone in the community and visitors as well. This is the largest contest to date with 111 entries and eight categories. Voting is through Friday, August 19 .
Saguache Arts Festival Highlights Growing Arts Scene
The summer art-lovers season is in full swing. And the same goes in Saguache Today, as artists and gallery owners throw open their doors, enjoying the high-traffic season in the San Luis Valley. But if you haven’t had a chance to check out the new and improved arts scene in Saguache, this Saturday is your perfect chance to do so at the 7th Annual Saguache Arts Festival. Get ready to be inspired!
If you haven’t been to 4th Street in downtown Saguache in a while, you’ll be surprised. And the local business owners and organizations, along with county and local officials are ready to show off their hard-sought efforts of improvements. And it shows!
The 7th Annual Saguache Arts Festival is this Saturday, Aug. 20 in downtown Saguache from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
