Celebrate The Arts in Saguache Today
Have you heard the word? Did you take note of the posts?
Well, if not, Saguache Today has got you covered with all the news regarding what is likely to be one of the busiest weekends in this small valley town. So make your plans or change your plans and get good old 81149 dialed into your GPS for this weekend June 21-23.
First up it’s news regarding the art show, this year celebrating 10 years! While the annual event is usually held in August, organizers switched things up this year in order to coincide with another arts milestone – the Grand Re-opening of the historic Ute Theater (more on that in a minute)
Here are the details for the 10th Annual Saguache Arts Walk
On Saturday, June 22 from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. the 10th annual Saguache Arts Walk will take place on and around 4th Street in downtown Saguache. Artists of all types from around the county will be attending to demonstrate, display and sell their work.
This is the perfect opportunity to get downtown and see what unexpected and secret talents your friends and neighbors may possess. Painting, sculpture, jewelry, fiber arts, crafts, pottery, and much, much more will be represented this weekend. During the day there will be live music outside.
Come and join us in downtown Saguache for the day! We have some fantastic restaurants, a lovely coffee shop, and even a bar! Spend the day immersing yourself in the arts and support our local artists.
In addition, the Sagebrush Quilters will be holding their annual quilt show at the Road and Bridge Building on 3rd Street. Saguache Works will be celebrating National Dairy month during the Arts Walk with some very artistic homemade ice cream that will be available for tasting. There will be lots of art to be viewed by all!
If you are an artist who would like to participate there is no fee to join in, just call or email Stacey at (719)-849-0957 or firstname.lastname@example.org. They have indoor and outdoor space available.
